Developer and publisher totals
Figures across every listed Steam game a company developed or published: the people playing them now, the share of their Steam reviews that recommend them, the games released each year, and their reviews and players month by month.
How it is calculated
Games are matched by the developer and publisher names on their Steam store pages; names that differ only in capitals, accents or punctuation count as one company. Players now is the sum of each game's latest poll. The share positive weights each game by its number of reviews, so the biggest games count most; the middle game's score counts every game with at least 10 reviews equally. Monthly players are the sum of each game's average for the month, from the archive before October 2026 and our own polls since. A year's reviews are every review the games released that year have had, up to today.

Caveats
- Steam has no company IDs, so two different companies with the same name share a page, and a company that changed its name is split across two.
- Monthly players cover only the most played games, the ones the archive holds, before and after October 2026, so the line compares like with like. A company with none of its games in the archive shows all its games, from October 2026.
- October 2026 counts from 19 October, when our own polls began.
- Players now adds up readings taken at different times: busy games every 15 minutes, quiet ones every few hours or less often.
- Delisted games, soundtracks, DLC and tools are left out.
- Counts people running the game through Steam only. Players on other stores, consoles or launchers are not included.
