Reviews by language
How many Steam reviews were written in each language, and the share of each language's reviews that recommend the game. Steam does not publish where reviewers live, so language is the nearest it offers to a breakdown by country.
How it is calculated
Steam's review summary for one language at a time, read with the store details call once per language, weekly for the 5,000 most played games with at least 10 reviews. A language's share is its reviews out of the reviews in every language Steam lists.

Caveats
- Language is the one the reviewer wrote in, which is often not their first language: many players review in English wherever they live.
- Steam lists Spanish (Spain) and Spanish (Latin America), and Portuguese and Portuguese (Brazil), separately.
- Reviews Steam has marked as off-topic, such as review bombs, are left out, so the languages can add up to slightly fewer than the game's total.
