Players during sales
For each sale we saw on a game, its players in the week before, during the sale and in the week after, from our own player counts, so you can see which discounts brought players in and whether they stayed.
How it is calculated
Sales are the ones listed in the game's price history. Before is the average of our hourly counts over the 7 days before the sale started; during is the average and highest count while it ran; after is the average over the 7 days after it ended. When sales follow each other closely, the week before stops at the end of the earlier sale and the week after stops at the start of the next one, so no sale is measured against another sale. The change is the week after's average against the week before's.

Caveats
- Steam's seasonal sales discount thousands of games at once and bring more people to the store, so a rise during one is not only this game's discount.
- An update, a free weekend or a big streamer can land at the same time as a sale.
- Quieter games are counted every few hours rather than every few minutes, so their peaks during a sale can be missed.
- Our price records start on 21 October 2026, so older sales are not listed.
