Tag totals
Figures across every listed Steam game with a tag: how many there are, how many came out this year, the people playing them now and the share of their Steam reviews that recommend them, with the tag's most played, newest, best reviewed and upcoming games.
How it is calculated
A game counts under every tag Steam's users have given it, as on the games list and Trends. Players now is the sum of each game's latest poll. The share positive weights each game by its number of reviews, so the biggest games count most. New releases are games released in the last 60 days, by their 24-hour peak; the best reviewed list needs at least 1,000 reviews. Related tags count how many of the tag's games carry each other tag among their first five, the ones most of their players gave them.

Caveats
- Players now adds up readings taken at different times: busy games every 15 minutes, quiet ones every few hours or less often.
- Steam's users choose a game's tags, and a game can carry up to 20, so a game counts under tags that describe only part of it.
- Delisted games, soundtracks, DLC and tools are left out.
- Counts people running the game through Steam only. Players on other stores, consoles or launchers are not included.
