Inspired by the retro glory days of 8-bit games, Rex Rocket is a traditional 2D platformer brought into the 21st century. Paying tribute to classic NES games like Mario, Mega Man, and Metroid, old-school platformer fans will find Rex Rocket a breath of fresh air. Featuring one-of-a-kind handmade pixel art, over 100 handcrafted levels connected in an expansive starship filled with a wide variety of puzzles, enemies, hazards and bosses. To top it off, we have an an original, kick-ass chiptunes soundtrack by Saskrotch.

How this is measured

Posts in a game's official Steam news feed that announce an update: tagged as patch notes by the developer, or plainly about a patch or a released update.

News checked every 30 days. Observed since 24 Oct 2026.

An announcement is not a build. Developers can ship updates without a post, or post about several updates at once.
Untagged posts are recognised from their words, so a few updates are missed and a few other posts may be counted. Tagged posts are marked Patch notes on the Updates tab; recognised ones are marked Update.
Older posts are being read back through each game's history, most played games first, so months before October 2026 fill in over the coming days.
