• Counts people running the game through Steam only. Players on other stores, consoles or launchers are not included.
• We poll the busiest games every 15 minutes and quiet ones as rarely as once a month, so a short spike between polls can be missed. Each game shows how often it is polled.
• Our player history starts on 19 October 2026. Earlier peaks, including launch peaks, are not in our data.

The average and peak number of people in the game on Steam in each calendar month before our own collection began. These figures come from a licensed historical archive, not from our own polls.

• Counts people running the game through Steam only. Players on other stores, consoles or launchers are not included.
• Estimates, accurate to within about 0.3%.
• Peaks come from roughly hourly readings, so they can be lower than ours, which come from polls up to every 15 minutes.
• Available for our most played games only, back to July 2012 at the earliest. Other games show no history before October 2026.
